Base stock procurement profile
High-viscosity residual base stock enquiry for qualified heavy lubricant and grease formulations. BS 150 does not mean 150 cSt at 100°C.
| Key buying criteria | KV40 and KV100 with test method, viscosity index, sulfur, saturates, pour point, flash point, colour, water, origin, TDS, SDS and batch COA |
|---|---|
| Packing | Bulk, drums or IBCs subject to product compatibility, net mass, cleanliness and agreed transport requirements. |
| Documentation | TDS · SDS · COA · origin, traceability and agreed inspection |
Grade names are commercial enquiries, not universal specifications. SN/N/R numbers are refiner-specific; cSt must state temperature. ISO VG describes viscosity at 40°C. II+ and III+ are market labels. GTL is a process; re-refined is an origin. Confirm API group and compatibility from the actual TDS and batch COA. Base stocks are ingredients, not finished engine oils or API-licensed lubricants.
